Drum Lessons

My background as a University of the Arts trained musician and 20 years of experience are dedicated towards improving the abilities of aspiring drummers. Students enjoy the benefits of a lesson plan custom tailored to their goals and interests. First time playing? Revisiting your musical passion? Let’s go!

Common areas of focus include coordination, technique, stick control, tempo, dynamics, music notation, music theory, and how to put it all together on your instrument. Students will learn how to strengthen their practice routine, eliminate bad habits, overcome performance anxiety, play like their favorite drummers and move around the drums with confidence. I pride my teaching approach on putting things into a digestible learning perspective and progressing at a pace that is best for each individual student.

Virtual Lessons: I also teach virtual drum lessons on FaceTime and Skype. This is an incredible way of maintaining the 1 on 1 dynamic you don’t get from YouTube tutorials and pre-recorded lessons while developing your skills on your won drum set. It allows for a flexible and comfortable learning environment where I address YOUR needs.

Jon Ardito is an outstanding teacher! My son started a year ago and I noticed a cosmic change in his skill at the drum set and his views about them. He is a fun and very talented teacher. If you are searching for a drum teacher, I highly recommend Jon Ardito.Shuo T

Jon is kind, tenacious, and very accommodating. I suspect I am one of his more challenging students–impatient, overly-serious, and sensitive–but he navigates these emotional pitfalls seamlessly. He’s a fine teacher with a lot of skill. Sylvia D
